Good news first: in Valencia you can ride all twelve months of the year. The climate plays along almost always and there’s no dead season. That said, not every time of year feels the same — and the hour of the day matters as much as the month.
Autumn (October – November): the best, no argument
If you ask us when to come, we say autumn. Temperatures sit between 18 and 24 °C, the countryside recovers after summer and the afternoon light is superb. The pinewoods change colour and, after the first rains, the ground smells of wet earth.
There are also fewer people out there than in spring, so the rides feel calmer.
Spring (March – May): the countryside at its peak
The other great season. Everything is green, there’s blossom and the temperature is ideal for the longer 2- and 3-hour routes. It’s when we get most bookings, so give us some notice, especially for weekends and long weekends.
Winter (December – February): quieter than you’d think
Valencian winter is mild: mornings rarely drop below 8-10 °C and sunny days are the norm. It’s an underrated season — a thermal layer and a jacket are plenty, and the countryside is entirely yours.
The only adjustment: we set off mid-morning, once it’s warmed up a little.
Summer (June – September): yes, but at the right hour
In the middle of July or August, 1 pm is no good for you or for the horse. But at 9 am or from 7 pm onwards it’s a completely different proposition: comfortable, shade in the pinewoods, and the late light is the best of the year for photos.
That’s exactly why our summer hours run until 9 pm.

A couple of things that do depend on the day
- If it rains, we cancel and reschedule at no cost. We don’t ride in mud or storms.
- Strong westerly wind in summer also stops us: it’s uncomfortable for everyone.
- Every other day, we ride.
So when should I book?
